Welcome!
XYdatasource is your destination for exchanging fundamental research data with other users
from across a wide range of technical areas. This site features data represented as a set
of XY data pairs, in other words, data that can be plotted. Each data set includes units of measure and a brief description to give the proper
context. Data sets are concise and accessible, presented in a consistent and
easy to use format. See examples to the right. This is a free service. Please Log In or Create an Account now.

What will you find here? Lots and lots of data, a means for exchanging data with other users, analysis tools, and a way to earn cash for your data set contributions. |
Who is this for? Professional and amateur researchers alike, e.g., chemists, engineers, biologists, students & teachers, historians, journalists, etc., etc. |
If you need to find a data set...
Enter your search terms at the top of the page, or use the Advanced Search option. Not finding what you are looking for? Place an anonymous Request of other users to share the particular XY data set that you need. Your Request will be available to those searching matching keywords and, as a registered user, will be broadcast to other participating users. You have the option of
offering a cash award to the contributor that provides the data set that best meets your needs. This is highly recommended.
If you are looking for a chance to earn cash...
Contribute data to XYdatasource and earn credits to your account. (How this process works.) You may contribute data voluntarily, or you may respond to a user's request for a particular data set, and be rewarded based on the overall quality of your data sets. Be the
first to contribute key XY data for your area of expertise to maximize your
earnings. If a user offers an award as part of his/her data request, you receive this amount as an immediate credit to your account when the requestor determines that your data set contribution is the best received. Log in and click Contribute Data to learn more.
View the most recent Requests at the bottom-right of this page. You can also use the Advanced Search
features to find many others.
We pay for your help to make this service a success. In addition to the user-to-user Award payments, we return the majority of sponsorship revenue as credits to users' accounts for their quality contributions.
